BIO

Rory Conlon is a game developer, designer and programmer from Niagara, Ontario. He graduated from Niagara College's Game Development Advanced Diploma program in 2017 before going on to further education at the University of Guelph, where he obtained his Bachelor in 2022 while majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Creative Writing.

Rory has worked on a number of small projects as either the project or a department lead. One of these games, Balls to the Wall, went on to receive audience acclaim at the 2017 Level Up Showcase. The following summer he released his first solo title, MineFliP, to the Google Play Store.

The melding of story and gameplay is of particular interest to Rory. Many games today aim for emergent gameplay that results in fun stories for the player to tell about the game, but Rory aims for a new kind of emergent storytelling where the game makes new stories to tell about the player.
